“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother,”
The Homeless Ministry is a passion for Oasis Life Center. Our team of Volunteers start preparing early every Friday morning to feed our local homeless in need. After a nice warm meal, the homeless can shower and then are free to take any other provisions that have been so generously donated. In addition to feeding and clothing the needy, the Oasis Life Center works closely with third party organizations, both governmental and non-profits. Our team works hard to get additional services to those in need. The Department of Mental Services as well as Social Security are just a couple of the relationships we developed over the years.
“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does ot have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
The most powerful way you can assist us in this ministry would be to pray. We ask for continued prayer for wisdom and protection against darkness and evil, not only for our team of volunteers, but for those whom are suffering and looking for their true path home. Pray that Oasis Life Center may be a beacon of light to the world.
Your financial donations are a crucial part of keeping the ministry going. Food isn’t the only thing we need to provide. Several times a year we need to buy extra blankets, socks, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, diapers for babies, and so many more items to list. Any contribution is helpful and a tax right off. If you have any questions or concerns please visit or office or call 661.942.3238 during normal business hours.
Thank you! Blessing to you and all those you help.
