Set-Apart Youth Ministry
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
The Set-Apart Youth group at Oasis trains up our children with Godly, Biblical values. Meeting Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm, all youth ages twelve to nineteen are welcome to come as we work on building our personal relationships with our Creator. Every meeting begins with Davidic Dance and worship. This is followed with prayer and a youth midrash (in-depth discussion) of the week’s Torah portion and how we incorporate His word into our lives. The night is concluded with giving thanks, prayer requests, then snacks and games. The youth are also continually working on projects and performances that are shared during Shabbat service, Biblical Festivals and celebrations. We look forward to having your children learn and grow with us.
Set-Apart Youth Leaders
Jeremy and Carmen Doll have been married since 2000 and have three sons, Samuel, Isaiah and Joshua (aka – The Dolls). They became Torah observant in their first year of marriage and became part of the Oasis family in 2013. Carmen has long enjoyed dance and worship. She became involved in the Davidic Dance Ministry after joining Oasis. Jeremy was called to Davidic Dance as well in 2015. Together, Jeremy and Carmen help lead the ‘Set-Apart Youth’ at Oasis with Thom and Dawn Ackerman. Jeremy also coordinates the men’s group, The Oasis Minyan.
Thom and Dawn Ackerman have been married so long we can’t count the years anymore. Fun loving People with a heart for youth. They have three children, Lucas, Josh, and Bethia. Thom is a prayer warrior and leads up our Prayer Ministry, while Dawn actively leads the Davidic Dance every Shabbat and Special Events. Both Thom and Dawn sit on the Elder Board for The Oasis Life Center and help to mold the overall heartbeat of The Oasis Culture. The Ackermans are a Spirit Lead Family and joined the Oasis Community in the year of 2011.
The Oasis Life Center Family is truly blessed to have these wonderful and amazing leaders to provide guidance with compassion and understanding to our youth. We welcome you to join us any time and remember to bring a friend!
